More than 30 years ago, Dan Volmert and Julie Volmert recognized the need for an authentic sports bar & grill in the St. Louis area. So in 1990, they decided to pursue that need and created the first Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill.
How did we get here?
Their goal was to give the great people of St. Louis fast service and a fun party atmosphere that included pool, darts, video games, and spontaneous promotions, now, since the concept was loved by the people of St. Louis are, they are pushing a new idea: a bar franchise.

Since 1990, Dan and Julie have been continuously involved with improving the Hotshots system and its growing brand. Hotshots have become a leader in the marketing of products and a dynamic trendsetter whose concept is continually mimicked but never successfully copied in the sports bar scene.

Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill has been a hands-on family-owned business for over 30 years. The Volmert’s have extended their family beliefs and practices to the store managers and upper management throughout the company.
Many of our management and employee personnel have been with the company for over 15 years. Now they hope to share these beliefs and practices with their franchisees as Hotshots looks to expand across the country as a brand powerhouse.
